This fall, the New England Center for Children is celebrating a milestone.
It hasn’t been known by that name (or based in our town). But the global leader for educating children with autism was founded 40 years ago.
Originally known as the Efficacy Research Institute (ERI), NECC began its work with 6 students on the grounds of The Taunton State Hospital. Today, the organization serves over 3,000 students with autism across the globe.
