Holiday festivities at the Library – December 5

Saturday, December 5th, the Southborough Library will be rockin’ (around the Christmas tree.)

For adults, refreshments and holiday music help make the upstairs festive for the season. They can also watch families hanging newly made ornaments on the Library’s tree.

And it’s the tree trimming that’s the real draw each year. That morning, kids in town are invited to make their own ornaments to hang.

The kids party takes place downstairs. Both the Children’s Room and Eaton Room (back meeting room) will be filled with fun craft stations.

Though, for some children, the real highlights are the candy canes and kids’ refreshments.

It’s the perfect launching pad for Santa Day. Families head to the library for the party, then cross the street at noon to watch the helicopter landing on St. Mark’s field.

The adult open house runs 10:30 – 3:30 pm.

Both celebrations are sponsored by The Friends of the Southborough Library.

The Friendsgroup will also be holding its annual Holiday Book & Bag Sale from 10:30 – 3:30 downstairs. (Stay tuned for more details on that.)
