Southborough Access Media’s documentary of life lessons from local veterans hit YouTube last week.
The “home grown documentary”, as captioned on YouTube covers:
Local veterans, crossing generations, continuing to impact their community, beyond their duty to the US military.
Terry Newman shared background on her piece in December. To produce the video, Newman interviewed nine resident veterans about their service in WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and the Congo. She asked them to explain the skills they gained and how they continued to use them in post-service life.
The documentary is now available through multiple platforms, including streaming from SAM’s Public Access website.
Or you can view it on Verizon Channel 38 or Charter Channel 191 at:
- Wednesday, January 27 (tonight) through Friday, January 29 at 8:00 pm
- Saturday, January 30 at 6:00 pm
- and Sunday, January 31 at 10:00 am
The project was partially funded through a grant from the Southborough Community Fund.
