- United Parishes’ Lenten series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ St. Matthew’s Church: The United Parishes of Southborough are inviting the community to their 14th annual Lenten series. This year’s theme is A Theology of Food. For more details, see the dedicated post.

- NSPAC’s “Balancing your Gut Flora and Good Health” (10:00 – 11:30 am) @ Northborough Public Library: Guest Presenter, Jennifer Drohan, M.Ed., RD, LDN, will discuss the science behind balancing your diet and good health. The event is sponsored by the Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC). The talk is free and open to the public. But pre-registration is requested at www.nspac.org. - NSPAC Coffee and Connect (11:30 am – 12:30 pm) @ Northborough Library: Northborough/Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council’s monthly gathering. It’s a chance for parents/guardians to connect with other members of the community facing similar challenges. Each meeting also includes a specific discussion topic (chosen by participants) to share and brainstorm on challenges or unmet needs.

- SEF Spelling Bee (6:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School: The bee is held by Southborough Education Foundation as an annual fundraiser. Doors open at 6:00 pm for the raffle and silent auction. The actual bee begins at 7:00 pm with the end time depending on how long the spellers last. Teams from schools participate. For more details, see the dedicated post.

- Southborough’s Democratic caucus (10:30 am) @ Southborough Library: Registered Democrats in Southborough will be holding a caucus to elect five delegates and three alternates to the 2016 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. For more details, see the dedicated post.
- Saturday Art Workshops for Children (10:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Children ages 5-10 are invited to be a part of monthly Saturday Art Workshops. (Siblings allowed.) Drop in to create some art. Registration is not required. (I believe this month, kids will get a chance to “make flowers”)

- Troop 1’s Pancake Breakfast (8:00 am – 1:00 pm) @ Neary School cafeteria: Boy Scouts will be serving up pancakes, sausages, ham and beverages for $6/adult, $3/seniors/kids 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Proceeds from the event support Troop 1 activities like camping, hiking, and community service projects.
- Girl Scout Sunday service (3:00 pm) @ Pilgrim Church: 1st annual Girl Scout Sunday service. The ecumenical service welcomes all faiths and is being held in memory of Elma Kunz, who passed away in August. She was an 86-year Girl Scout. Note: They are also still looking for more girls to participate in the service, in speaking and non-speaking roles.
