Next weekend, the Southborough Trail Committee will be working to clear the Sudbury Reservoir Trail. They are looking for volunteers to help.

The Southborough Trails Committee has scheduled April 30th at 9am to walk the MWRA trail segment of the Sudbury Reservoir Trail between Deerfoot and Ward Roads, and post the STC blazes, clear trails where we can, and catalog any new changes we’d like to make to the trail in the future.

We’ll meet at the end of Ward Road and then send out two groups to start on either end of the trail segment. That way we can cover maybe 1+ miles of the trail in 1 1/2 hours or so.

[Note: Of course, this isn’t the only town cleanup effort this month. Don’t forget Earth Day clean up of streets in town is tomorrow.]

To signup to help with trail clearing, email stc01772@gmail.com or phone the Southborough Recreation Office at 508-229-4452.

Volunteers are asked to wear long sleeves, pants, work gloves, and hats,  and to bring water. They are also encouraged to bring along tools like loppers/clippers or small chain saws, and hammers. (Please, mark your tools to indicated ownership.)
