The Southborough Board of Health is hosting a free workshop to learn about, and how to prevent, mosquito-borne diseases.
The talk will include information on West Nile and Zika viruses. (Some information on ticks will also be covered.)
The presentation is by a biologist from the Central Mass Mosquito control project. He’ll also be providing handouts and samples of mosquito repellent.
Although the talking points are “geared to older adults”, anyone is welcome to attend.
The workshop will take place in the Board of Health Office at 9 Cordaville Road (which conveniently houses the Senior Center).
To access the lower level, use the rear entrance to the building.
To sign up, call the Board of Health Office at 508-481-3013.
