Southborough’s Meals on Wheels program is seeking volunteers to make deliveries. Organizers are looking for drivers to volunteer once a week or every other week.

Meals on Wheels is part of the Senior Center’s Elderly Nutrition Program. It’s run by BayPath Elder Services. The program “delivers nutritious meals to seniors who are unable to leave their homes due to illness, disability, or frailty.”

Meals are picked up at the Westboro Senior Center and delivered to Southborough seniors. You can read more about the Southborough service here.

For more information on volunteering, or to sign up, contact Laurie at 508-366-3000.

I’ve been delivering meals since 2003 (with a 2 year break when I moved away) and it’s a great program. It is so rewarding to meet some of our town senior citizens some of whom have been in town for 85+ years! I really enjoy getting know them.
