Local Quakers invite community to celebrate their 50th Anniversary – Saturday

Local Quakers (including some living in Southborough) are inviting the community to join festivities this Saturday.

The “Framingham Friends” are celebrating their 50th anniversary:

Scheduled events (all free):

1 pm – music performance including hammered dulcimer
2 pm – The Tanglewood Marionettes
3 pm – What Does George Fox Say? The Quaker Video That Went “Viral”

All afternoon there will be activities for children, displays by Quaker organizations including the youth retreats program for grades 2-12, displays about Framingham Friends Meeting and the work we do, and displays by community groups. Drop in, or stay for the afternoon.

Enjoy a “repurposed” school house (On the Framingham Historical Society’s 2016 House Tour.) In Framingham—Grove St. to Edmands Rd. #841 (corner of Edmands and Nixon Road): From Southborough via Pine Hill Rd (turn right). From North: Rte 20 to Wayside Inn Rd. Ends on Nixon, take right.
