Chestnut Hill Farm is hosting a Dessert Potluck under the “Harvest Moon” next week. The only fee for participating in the free event is bringing along a fun dessert to share.
The potluck is scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. You can lay out a blanket or bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the evening under the full “Harvest Moon”.
Farm staff will be making their own contribution to the desserts – s’mores and ice cream. They’ll also be building a campfire for the festivities.
Most other events through late July (including a picnic potluck that was scheduled for this weekend and a “pop-up water park” ) have been cancelled. The Trustees of Reservations are in midst of bringing in a new engagement director.
The silver lining is that this event was originally planned as only free to TTOR members. Farm staff must have been looking forward to it, since they decided to hold it anyway. And now it’s free to the entire community.
