Late last night, a driver going the wrong way on the MassPike was fatally injured. The crash took place right before exit 11A. (Some reports describe it as taking place in Westborough, others in Southborough.)
According to CBS Boston, the driver headed eastbound in the westbound lane of the MassPike, striking two other vehicles, resulting in four others injured. The injured were transported to UMass Medical Worcester, conditions unknown.
Parts of the westbound pike had to be closed for hours. The incident is still under investigation.
The driver was a 28 year old man from Rutland.
