[Editor’s Note: By law, the police logs omit domestic disturbances, including related arrests. (Which means police can be even busier than they appear to be.)
By blog policy, I strip out the names of any individuals listed as arrested.]
Are there no logs from 8/24 – 9/8? I’ve been watching for this because I want to look something up from 8/28.
No. But, you can always reach out to the SPD if you have a question about something. With a few legal exceptions, the logs are public information. The problem is that the department doesn’t always have the time to type them up.
I suspect they leave out more than just issues involving domestic disturbances. I know a town resident who was arrested and charged with OUI on 9/10 and this incident does not appear in the published Police logs.
They do include OUIs. Could the arrest have been made by state police or another town?
According to Chief Paulhus, there were no arrests by Southborough Police between 9/9 and 9/11 for an OUI.
