Discussion of implication of recreational marijuana on community – Wednesday night

In the week’s events, I forgot to include a “discussion” forum being held tomorrow night. The topic “The Implications of Recreational Marijuana Legalization For Our Children and
Communities”.

In case you weren’t clear from the title, don’t expect the presenter to give a “Vote Yes on 4” speech.

The event includes a presentation by Southborough’s Dr. Safdar Medina. You may recognize him from the public comments he has made in opposition to the Medical Marijuana Dispensary being opened in town.

The flyer for tomorrow’s event discloses that Medina is a member of Groups opposed to Ballot Question 4 (Marijuana Legalization): Campaign For a Safe and Healthy Massachusetts. He is also a Pediatrician and member of the Worcester County District Attorney’s Opioid Task Force.

The discussion takes place Wednesday October 26th, 7:00 pm in St. Mark’s Church Parish Hall, 27 Main Street. The forum is hosted by Neighbors for Peace.

On a related note: Reminder, you can find information on this year’s ballot questions and early voting here.
