If a little boy rings your doorbell this week, he’s not a late trick or treater. It may seem too soon to think about it, but the holidays will be on us before you know it. And Southborough Cub Scouts are already in the midst of their annual holiday fundraiser.
Pack 1 & 926 scouts have divvied up their streets for door-to-door sales of Christmas wreaths and Hanukkah candles. Some have already started knocking on doors. Others will soon.
Cub Scout Annual Holiday Sale runs through Sunday November 13th. Southborough cub scouts will be going door-to-door to sell evergreen wreaths and Hanukkah candles.
The wreaths are 18″ across and decorated with a red velvet bow. The candles are a box of 45 5.5 inch marbleized dripless Hanukkah candles.
The price will remain at $12 each as in years past. Deliveries will be made during the week of Thanksgiving.
The holiday sale is the only pack-wide event to fund cub scout programming throughout the year.
For those of you who aren’t interested in a wreath or candles, you can always support the scouts by making a donation to their troop instead.
Wondering if there is contact information in case a cub scout does not come to our house, as we always buy our wreaths from them and don’t want to miss out! Thanks!
I would also appreciate contact info since some years a scout has not been by our house. Thanks.
Scouts will be selling additional wreaths at the Transfer Station on Saturday, November 26 and Saturday, December 3 between 8-4. If you would like to get a wreath before Thanksgiving, you may contact me directly at mishhart@Jeroen WayneVepWQ.com. I can assign a scout to your sale. Thank you!
Thanks, Michele! We will wait to see if a scout comes by, and if not, will go to the fire station on the 26th!
Transfer Station! (The Fire Fighters will likely have no idea what you are talking about if you show up there.)
LOL! I knew I needed new glasses! Thanks, Beth!
Same concern! Looking forward to a Scout’s arrival!
