This Friday, Chestnut Hill Farm is holding an interactive storytime for preschoolers. (Pre-registration is requested, and there is a fee.)

Book Bugs on the Farm is for 3-5 year olds. The Trustees of Reservations program will take place 10:30 – 11:30 am. It’s one of a series taking place the first Friday of each month (at least through March).

Each month, kids will hear a special story, participate in a related activity and explore the farm. Small snacks will be provided.

The book and activity themes schedule is:

  • January 6th: “Over and Under the Snow” (a story about winter hibernation.) Kids will learn new words, explore the farm, and wrap up by creating a snowglobe to take home.
  • February 3rd: “Woolbur” (the story of a very special sheep.) Kids will learn new words, explore the farm, and wrap up with a small fiber project to take home their own felt or yarn creations!
  • March 3rd: ” Growing Vegetable Soup” (a story about planting and caring for vegetables.) Kids will learn new words, explore the farm, and wrap up by planting seeds to care for at home.

Registration costs $9 per member child and $15 for non-members. (Accompanying adults are free.)
