  • Legos at the Library (3:45 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Public Library: Children are welcome to come build with Legos, and display their creations in the Children’s Room. Legos will be provided, but all materials need to remain at the library. Parents or caregivers must stay with children during this event.

  • Poetry Workshop Series (6:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Public Library, main floor: Join several Southborough poets as they review and discuss the work of a featured author and discuss & create poetry of their own. The series is through a partnership between the Southborough Public Library & the Worcester County Poetry Association. See dedicated post for details.

  • Trottier Early Release (11:20 am): Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Seniors’ Snowshoe or winter hike (1:15 pm) @ carpool from Southborough Senior Center: Event organized by the Trailblazers for active seniors. This week’s event is at Hopkinton State Park. Please sign up by calling (508) 229-4453.  (There are 5 pairs of snowshoes available to borrow.) See dedicated post for details.
  • Author Pat Jackman Altomare (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Author Pat Jackman Altomare will be discussing her book “Not Just a Recipe”. A newspaper food columnist for 10 years, the author will share recipes, tips & ideas, her passion for kitchen chat and dessert samples. Free to the public, no registration necessary.   • Senior Matinee – Now You See Me 2 (12:00 – 2:10 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Free movie screening for Southborough seniors. Action/drama/comedy rated PG-13 and 2 hour 10 minutes long. In this sequel, The Four Horsemen resurface and are forcibly recruited by a tech genius to pull off their most impossible heist yet. Before the show, the center will serve lunch in the “cafe” beginning at 11:15, but please pre-register. (Suggested donation of $3)

  • T-Hawks Cheer Indoor Yard Sale (8:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Peaslee School, 31 Maple St, Northborough: Fundraiser for T-Hawks Youth Cheer program. Sale of bikes, scooters, sports equipment, brand name clothing, winter gear, household items, and much more.
  • Valentine’s Day Party (10:30 am – 1:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Join us for Valentine crafts, games and cookie decorating! All children are welcome with a parent or caregiver. Registration is not required.
  • Maple Tree Tap-a-thon (11:00 am – 1:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: Come to the farm for this hands-on workshop and learn about tapping trees for their sap and syrup. Pre-registration is requested. Price: Member: $5; Nonmember: $10. For more details, see dedicated post.
  • Cub Scouts' senior valentines day lunch flyer

    Cub Scouts’ Valentine’s Day Luncheon for seniors (12:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Pack 26 Cub Scouts will host its annual Valentine’s Day Luncheon and Bingo Game for Southborough seniors. Cub Scouts will take orders and serve lunch. To register, call 508-229-4453. (See flyer right.)

  • ARHS open skating (2:00 – 4:00 pm) @ Algonquin Regional High School, 79 Bartlett St, Northborough, Tennis Courts: Open skating supervised by the Algonquin Student Council Admission is $2 per person. Helmets are required for children under 5 and recommended for children under 9. See dedicated post for details.

  • St. Mark’s Baseball Clinic for Little League (semi-free) (4:00 – 5:30 pm) @ The Armour Cage at St. Mark’s School: The St. Mark’s Baseball program will be holding clinics for Southborough Little Leaguers in the Armour Cage. There will be no charge; rather, the team asks that each player bring gently used baseball equipment or new school supplies to donate. For details, see dedicated post.
