A search for missing Southborough resident Michael Kelleher is happening in Boston today. The event, organized through Facebook, asks volunteers to help – even if it’s just for 30 minutes.
According to the Boston Globe, the Facebook page Help Find Michael Kelleher #findmichaelkelleher was created by concerned friends and family. The page has posted an event running from the start of today through 3am tomorrow morning.
The Globe also shares:
Twitter users are sharing a hashtag #findMichaelKelleher. A GoFundMe account was set up to raise money to hire a private detective to locate him, [co-worker Lillianna Saari] said.
The search event is organized through the Facebook page, allowing volunteers to refer to slides of a grid map and update each other through comments on an app. Volunteers are apparently also passing out flyers with information on Kelleher and a phone number to contact.
The last visual sighting of Kelleher was leaving TD Garden on Wednesday night, caught on video surveillance.
The social media accounts offer conflicting details on his last known location from there. The GoFundMe page states:
His last ping on his cellphone was at 138 Tremont St at 9:40pm Wednesday night. His Uber account shows that he was trying to call for a Uber but never got into it.
Meanwhile the event search grid images include the detail that he was last known to be at Paul Revere Park where he ordered an Uber three times. (That park is about 1 mile north of 138 Tremont St.)
Either way, he was last known to be in Boston and that is where friends and family members are searching today.
