The annual “Candidates Night” will be held at the Southborough Library on Thursday, May 4th.
Every year, candidates to contested positions in the Town Election are invited to participate. This year, that means the candidates for the Board of Selectmen and for Town Clerk.
The schedule has shifted to kick it off a half hour early than originally announced. The evening will begin at 6:00 pm with a Meet & Greet.
Don’t worry about stopping for dinner on the way. Sandwiches and sweets will be provided.
From 6:30 – 9:00 pm, former Town Moderator John Wilson will again moderate a Q&A with the candidates.

Southborough Library Trustees to Host Candidates’ Night on May 4
The Trustees of the Southborough Library will hold their annual “Candidates’ Night” at the Southborough Library on Thursday evening, May 4, to give voters a chance to meet the candidates and ask them questions. All candidates running for election or re-election on May 9 have been invited to attend.
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a “Meet & Greet” session with sandwiches and sweets. A program with candidates in contested races only will begin at 6:30 p.m. Candidates in uncontested races will have the opportunity stand and be recognized from the audience. Former Town Moderator John Wilson will serve as emcee for the evening.
“Candidates’ Night” is part of the Library’s long-range effort to provide civic programming as part of its overall mission to be “the center for life-long learning at the crossroads of our community.” The Library is located at 25 Main Street, Southborough. Handicap access is available through the elevator at the lower level entrance.
NOTE: The date of the Annual Town Election is Tuesday, May 9. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is noon on Monday, May 8.
