- Story Art: Outer Space (10:30 am) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Let’s Gogh Art! will be at the library with a program about space! - Young Scientists (11:30 am – 12:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Free STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program for kids age 3-5. - Incoming Kindergarten Screening and Orientation (8:35 am – 1:00 pm) @ Finn School: By appointment. (If your child isn’t registered yet to start Kindergarten in the fall, follow up with Linda Brandt at 508-485-3176 ext. 103.)
- Fay School Program Community Singing (10:30 am – 12:30 pm) @ Fay School: Southborough seniors are invited to join Fay’s vocal music teacher for an informative and participatory session on singing in a choir. The program will culminate in a performance with Fay Students and Staff. Anyone who is interested may attend to participate or just observe. For details, click here.
- Tales & Tails (6:15 – 7:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: Children can spend some time reading to a dog. Children must have some reading ability. Registration is required. - Author Pat Jackman Altomare (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: Author Pat Jackman Altomare will be discussing her book Not Just a Recipe as part of Thursday Evening Author Series at the library. A newspaper food columnist for 10 years, the author will share recipes, tips & ideas, her passion for kitchen chat, and with some great Mother’s Day cooking ideas (and some samples of a delicious dessert.) - Historical Society’s Annual Meeting (4:00 pm) @ Southborough Historical Society Museum, 25 Common St: The Historical Society is combining its Annual Meeting with a celebration of the “soft” re-opening of the museum. For details, click here.
- Running of the Goats (12:30 – 2:30 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: The 2nd annual 5k trail race and kids fun run where runners of all abilities can race against the clock, or the goats! Race the full 5k at 1pm and stick around to watch the kids run for fun alongside the goats at 2:00. Snacks and games will be on hand and of course a chance to get a #gelfie (that’s a goat selfie).
