Algonquin’s spring musical is the appropriately titled “High School Musical”. The musical romantic comedy takes a look at cliques and high school drama.
The schools newspaper, the Harbinger, interviewed director Tom Alera on his choice:
Alera said that this musical has been on his mind for a long time.“It’s all about theater that matters and that makes a difference, and this matters to kids and this makes a difference for kids,” Alera said.
Performances are scheduled to take place at 7:30 pm the evenings of Wednesday, May 24th through Saturday, May 27th. There will also be a 4:00 pm showing on the 27th.
Since the play will be held in the Black Box Theater, instead of the auditorium, only about 200 people can attend each performance. So, you may want to secure your tickets online through Brown Paper Tickets (with a $1.52 service fee).
