Next week is NSPAC’s final meeting of the school year. That means it’s time to elect new officers and consider volunteer opportunities for the next school year. That meeting takes place on June 7th.
But before I get into those details. . .
This month, NSPAC held its annual Go the Distance awards dinner. The event honors people who make a difference in the life of a Southborough/Northborough child with special needs.

NSPAC meeting announced for June 7, 2017
The Northborough-Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) will be holding its final meeting of the school year on Wed., June 7, 2017, 10 am – 12 pm at the Northborough Library located at 34 Main St., Northborough.The annual election of its board officers for the 2017-2018 academic year will take place at this meeting. Per the bylaws, you are eligible to vote if you have attended at least one NSPAC meeting or event within the current academic year. Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the year. If you are interested in helping with fundraising, event planning, community education, parent-to-parent support, or research assistance, please email nspac1@gmail.com.
NSPAC is a volunteer organization, which serves approximately 700 families in the school district. The group ensures that children with special needs and learning differences in the district receive a safe and appropriate education, and is committed to ensuring our community delivers an understanding, respectful, and inclusive support system to all types of learners.
Membership is open to parents and guardians of children who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504s, or anyone interested in special education within the district.
