If you own a business based in Southborough, the Economic Development Committee wants to help promote it.
Last fall, the EDC published a directory of Southborough Businesses titled “Shop SOBO”. Now they are looking to update the Shop Local Business Directory for 2017-18.
Don’t let the “Shop” fool you into thinking this is purely a retail directory. Listing categories also cover business-to-business, medical services and more.
Before EDC publishes and post the updated listings, they are also seeking input on how to make it better. Responses are due by August 1st.

Southborough’s Economic Development Committee (EDC) is updating the list of Southborough businesses for the SHOP SOBO print and online Shop Local Business Directory 2017-2018. This Shop Local Directory was first released in October 2016, serves as the primer local resource for residents, businesses and local employees to shop local products and services in Southborough.
Don’t miss out on being a part of Southborough’s Shop Local Business Directory!
- Be sure to register your business with the Clerk’s Office! We carefully compile our business list using the town Clerk’s Office DBA and the Assessor’s Office business list.
- If you have suggestions on how to improve the current directory, please send your comments and suggestions to, shoplocalsobo@gmail.com. We welcome your input!
- If you are a business owner and want to confirm your information for a directory listing, please send an email with the following information, owner’s name (first/last), business name, email, phone number and website to: shoplocalsobo@gmail.com.

The EDC is excited to release this 2017-2018 update to Shop SOBO. It had great success this past year in connecting residents to local businesses.
