Registration open for Trottier Cross Country fall program

Trottier’s popular track program begins again next month:

Cross Country running is both a team sport and an effective way to gain overall fitness for other sports. XC is not easy. To really enjoy the benefit from this program, athletes should be able to cover 2 miles in less than 20 minutes BEFORE the season starts. Program goals include development of athletic fitness, self confidence, team spirit and commitment to continuous improvement. We train on local trails and neighborhoods varying pace and duration. Destination runs to local “eateries” and weekly meets both home and away sprint training and document progress.

Here are some more details from the flyer and website descriptions:

  • The program is for Trottier Middle School students
  • XC runs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday for 7 weeks from September 6 to October 27.
  • Practices are from 2:20 – 3:50 pm; Home meets end at 4:30 (so the Late Bus home is not an option). Times vary on away meets.
  • Registration fee of $180. For those who don’t already own the “Team T&F Singlet” there is an “optional” additional $10 fee.
  • No refunds or exchanges except with a doctor’s note (a $20 processing fee will be applied.)
