Last night, the Southborough Library introduced its new “Educated Eating” series with a honey tasting event. Next week, the series continues with tea.
On Thursday, September 14th, patrons can:
sample several distinct styles of tea, learn about tea’s many health benefits, discover tea’s fascinating history, and learn how to steep for the perfect cup.
The “Beyond Tazo & Lipton” tasting and talk will be run by “an International Tea Masters Association-certified tea sommelier”. Hillel Bromberg writes about his passion on his website for Tea Oasis. He explains that he is:
always looking to increase my own knowledge of tea and expose as many people as possible to the delights of tea.
Library patrons will get to benefit from that when they come out to hear from the expert. The library invites:
Tea can be sweet, rich, buttery, and citrusy. It can wake you up and calm you down. Come spend some time getting to know tea’s delightful flavors and aromas, as well as hear about tea’s interesting history.
The Educated Eating series is free with no registration required. The tea tasting will take place on Thursday from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on the library’s main level.
You may also want to save the dates for two more events already scheduled for this fall. Both tastings will also take place on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm:
- Healthy Foods Talk and Sampling – October 5th
- Harvest Chocolate Tasting – November 2nd
