I’ll be honest. I keep checking the forecast for Monday, hoping it will change. But as of now, Monday will be a rainy one. At least one of the fun events at Heritage Day will be indoors.
SkyRise Theater is putting on a musical for Heritage Day attendees. The production features the “All Star cast” of kids aged 5-15. I’ve been told that several of this season’s members are Southborough residents.
The group participates in area festivals and parades. (Expect to see them promoting the free show during the parade that morning.)
The 2:30 pm performance takes place in Pilgrim Church’s Fellowship Hall at 15 Common Street. (Up the hill from the activities on the field that day.)
This year’s production is The Pharoah’s mask – a musical parody that takes place in ancient Egypt.

Is this rain or shine? Right now it looks like it will be pouring.
Heritage Day is rain or shine. A safety issue like lightening or a hurricane would be different. But for now, Recreation is sticking by “rain or shine”.
If they change their minds and decide that pouring rain is bad enough to cancel, they would text me and I would quickly post an alert for readers. Rec would also update its cancellation line (508-485-0710 press 8) and send out emails.
