The first day back in a three-day school week might not be the best time to remind you, but . . . for Finn and Woodward families two early dismissals are popping up soon: October 19th and Halloween.
At least Woodward parents can take advantage of a fundraiser to help make one of those days easier.
On Thursday, October 19th, pre-registered Woodward students can skip the half day bus and take part in the 5th annual Jump-Fest. (Registration is limited to 100, so sign up soon.)
[Editor’s Note: Reminder, that kids who aren’t that into jumping but are into Lego’s have another choice.* ]
The event runs to 2:30 pm (and parents do have to pick up the kids at that time.) The event starts off with lunch. (They can brown bag it or pre-pay for the pizza lunch.)
Then it’s an afternoon of jumping games to benefit the American Heart Association. The fundraiser is again organized by PE Teacher Tiffany Goode and School Nurse Mary Ellen Duggan (of Woodward Wake Up and Work Out fame).
The fee is actually a donation to the cause (cash or a check made out to American Heart Association). It’s a minimum $20 plus an extra $5 if you want to order the pizza lunch (2 slices of pizza, fruit and a drink).
To sign up, fill out the form and send it with payment in your child’s backpack by October 16th. (Click on the flyer above right to open the pdf registration page.)
*Updated (10/11/17 3:17 pm): I just confirmed that the City Builders program being offered by Southborough Rec that same afternoon is still available. Registration has now been extended to October 16th.
