Trottier Middle School has announced a support group for some of their 6th-8th grade students. The group is to support social awareness, self-awareness, and self-management skill for children in “Changing Families”.
The Changing Families Group flyer explains to students:
Some of you may have parents who have recently separated, are divorced, or who have divorced and remarried. There are times that maybe you have felt alone and thought no one else could possibly understand what you are feeling. You are not alone. This group will work to define what family means, explore and articulate feelings, identify coping skills to manage difficult emotions, and identify strengths of a changing family. We hope you will consider joining us.
The group begins Thursday, November 2, 7:30-8:00 am and will run for 6 weeks.
Anyone interested in joining, is encouraged to contact Mrs. Eng & Mrs. Anderson in the Guidance Office or email jsanderson@nsboro.k12.ma.
Ms. Eng & Ms. Anderson. I’m interested in this group. What does “Changing Families” refer to. Please explain. Thank you
It is clearly explained in the post: “Some of you may have parents who have recently separated, are divorced, or who have divorced and remarried.” Beyond that, if you have questions, I would recommend contacting them directly.
