The Toastmasters group based in Southborough is using Halloween fun to drum up some new participants.
If you aren’t familiar with Toastmasters, their focus is on helping members improve their speaking skills in a variety of situations. The public is invited to their open house this Monday, October 30:
Come to enjoy tricks and treats. Anyone joining at the open house will enjoy a special reduced rate.
The event flyer pitches:
Join us for a spooky open house – there are scarier things than speaking in public! Thrills, scary stories, tricks and of course, treats! (Costumes/masks optional)
If you can’t make it this Monday, it’s not your last chance. The website shares:
Guests are always welcome at our meetings, which are held every Monday 12-1 pm and the 4th Tuesday (instead of the Monday before) from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Southborough Public Library, 25 Main St, Southborough, MA 01772.
Chartered in 2013, Lake Williams Wordsmiths is a Toastmasters club “dedicated to the mission of fostering personal growth and leadership in our members through the medium of public speaking.” (You can learn more in the post I wrote when they relocated to the Southborough Library last fall.)
