Over the weekend, Southborough started celebrating Halloween. But one event was cancelled – the annual parade & contest held by the Southborough Firefighters Association. If your kids missed showing off their costumes to firefighters, bring them by the station today/tonight.
The Fire Department posted their invitation on Facebook:
Since we did not have our annual Halloween Parade thanks to Mother Nature not cooperating, we find ourselves with an over abundance of candy goody bags. If you’re near the Fire Station [Halloween] night Trick or Treating, please stop in with your kids for a treat. We love seeing the costumes and look forward to next year’s parade!!
They’re not the only ones who want to see spooky/cute/funny costumes. So, please email me your pics from the SYFS party, visiting the library, the Finn School parade, trick or treating tonight or any of your Halloween fun.
And, as one reader suggested, if you spent ages turning your yard into a Halloween-scape – why limit viewers to the kids in your neighborhood?
Dawn from Bryden Road shared her family’s frightastic scene (right). You can share yours, too.
(Though I doubt you can compete with the scale of the display at 139 Parkerville. Don’t forget to take your Star Wars fans by there tonight.)
Email your photos to mysouthborough@gmail.com.
Does Southborough have an official start/end time for trick or treating?
No.
Official start time? LoL, this world is becoming too “official” these days. The official start time is when the sun goes down and the end time is when houses start turning off their lights! That’s how you know …
Some towns do have a schedule.
Yes, thanks Beth. This is why I was asking. Thanks for the “helpful” response, Ben.
