Algonquin winter sports is looking pretty good as we start 2018.
Two varsity teams are undefeated at four games in: Wrestling and Girls Swimming. Both have multiple meets scheduled this week.
Most other teams have earned more wins than losses: Girls Hockey (5-2), Boys Hockey (4-1-1), Boys Basketball (3-1), and Boys Swimming (3-1).
Before Christmas, Gymnastics competed in its first meet of the season and won, beating Medway-Holliston-Millis. They’ll compete against the girls again this week in a Tri-Meet with Westborough. But first, they’ll face Shrewsbury.
The three remaining Gonk teams have even records (at least officially*): Girls Basketball 3-3, Boys Track (1-1) and Girls Track (1-1).
