I’m overdue in sharing this summer job posting for teens. The good news is that applications are still being accepted for another 7 weeks.
The Southborough Recreation Department is advertising counselor positions for its PK – Grade 5 summer camps.
Town of Southborough
Summer Camp Counselors
Applicants MUST have completed their Sophomore year of High School, have experience working with children and be able to work Monday – Friday, June 25 – August 10, 2018. Application deadline is March 21, 2018.
I had that job one summer in high school. I remember it as the most fun summer job I ever had. If you know a teen who likes babysitting, this is a great job to recommend. (It has the fun of playing with kids without the downside of enforcing teeth brushing and bedtime routines!)
To entice teens to work this summer – I included some photos below from the Rec Department’s Facebook page. They show counselors making (and enjoying) summer fun for campers.

Note: Under state law, teens under the age of 18 need a work permit before starting a job. If you don’t already have one, you can find information on obtaining one here.
