Stress Management classes for 4th-12th grade students and parents of younger kids (Updated)

The Town is again reaching out to reduce stress in students (and parents). Southborough Youth and Family Services is holding more free Stress Management classes.

SYFS staff and graduate-level interns will be offering 10-week stress management classes at some of the schools and for parents. Topics discussed will include: development of coping skills, building a new relationship with stress, time management, achieving success and reaching goals at school and at home, creating positive peer relationships.

For 4th-12th graders, the classes are offered before and/or after school.

This time around, they are taking a different approach for helping K-3 students. Instead of counseling the kids in special classes, they will offer help to their parents and guardians. (The intent is to reinforce lessons already being taught in school classrooms.)

The deadline for registering for upcoming classes is February 16th. Click here to open the online application.

[Editor’ Note: If you are interested in these classes, you may also be interested in the parent workshop being offered by NSPAC on helping students be successful. If you didn’t read about that, click here for yesterday’s post.]
