Earlier this week, I posted about Algonquin teams competing in state tournaments this weekend. But not all of the details were in yet.
For those of you looking to root those Gonk athletes on, here is the info you need.
ARHS Wrestling Team
The Division II State Championships will be held at Milton High School this Friday to Saturday. The opening round begins at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 16th. Information on the schedule, admission and facilities is here. You can find the brackets here.
ARHS Boys and Girls Indoor Track Teams
The State Division II Championships will take place at the Reggie Lewis Track Center at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 17th. Click here to look at who is competing and the order of events.
ARHS Boys and Girls Swimming/Diving Teams
The Division I State Championships will take place at the BU Aquatic Center. The Girls compete at 7:30 pm on Saturday, February 17th and the Boys at 7:30 pm on Sunday, February 18th. Starting this evening, you can buy tickets here. The psych sheets are now posted. So you can find the lists of who is competing and the order here. (On that page, you can also find the results from last weekend’s sectionals.)
ARHS Gymnastics
ARHS’ schedule lists Gymnastics Individual State Championships on President’s Day, Monday, February 19th at 9:00 am. The tournament isn’t listed on the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association’s website, so I don’t have more details. And seeding info still isn’t posted for the team’s upcoming state tournament. I hope to be able to share more on that in my next, regular weekly sports post.
Speaking of, since it’s a a holiday weekend, I won’t be posting on sports again until Tuesday. So, I’m updating the ARHS varsity sports schedule, including the regular season games, to cover through Monday.
The Girls Basketball Game which had been listed as TBD turns out to be part of Westborough’s Invitational Tournament. Eight teams will compete in first rounds on Sunday with semi-finals on Tuesday and finals next Thursday. The Rangers tweeted the brackets yesterday, so that’s also updated below.
