A Go Fund Me page has been set up for the Southborough residents whose Cottage Street home was destroyed by a fire over the weekend. Within one day, organizers have already raised over $3,000.

Bill and Cheryl Kane are long time residents of Southborough, and they had a devastating house fire at 2am, Saturday, 3/31/18. Their house is uninhabitable now. They lost their fur babies and most of their belongings in the fire. They are devastating and starting over from scratch. We are raising money to help them get back on their feet and ease the financial burden of this horrible tragedy.
Chances are you know Bill and Cheryl if you live in Southborough. Bill’s band The Boston Naturals played at Southborough Summer Nights this past summer, and Cheryl works at Owen O’Leary’s. Let’s rally and help them rebuild their life.

On a relevant note, Southborough Wicked Local followed up with owners of businesses that burned down in Framingham about a year ago. The story is a reminder that “it’s not uncommon for insurance claims to take time”. While the focus of that story was businesses, I would guess it’s also true of residential claims.
