According to an announcement, a glitch caused all Algonquin parents to be notified their children were absent today.
A “One Call” recorded phone message went out from the Superintendent of Northborough Southborough schools a little while ago. In it, Christine Johnson explained that the One Call system had accidentally emailed an absent student notice to each Algonquin parent.
Johnson said that every parent whose child is actually absent will receive a personal phone call from the school. In the meantime, she warned that the school’s phones are busy right now (presumably from parents trying to figure out what’s going on).
