End of school year gift: An apple for the teacher – sign up by June 15th

As the end of school approaches you often hear parents asking each other, “What are you giving the teachers”?

SEF Red Apple Flyer 2018One popular choice from the Southborough Education Foundation.

A donation to SEF can be made in the name of any teacher(s) or staff member(s) of the Southborough public schools or Algonquin Regional High School.

Each recipient of a Red Apple Award receives a certificate that includes your child’s name (but not the dollar amount of the gift). The deadline for this school year is Friday, June 15th.

Money raised is used to fund SEF’s grants for special school programs and resources.

Recognize your child’s favorite teacher or staff with a Red Apple award by making a gift to the Southborough Education Foundation online at www.southboroughed.org/red-apples-detail via credit card or PayPal. Your contribution can honor more than one teacher or staff member and each honoree will receive a certificate, including your child’s name.

Your donation helps fund innovation grants in our public schools. Contributions are tax-deductible and meet the teacher gift-giving provisions of the State Ethics Commission.

Some of the exciting projects funded last year include Neary’s Libratory, green screen technology at Woodward, Active Learning Center at Trottier, radio station equipment for Algonquin and STEM tools for Finn. The 2018-2019 grants will be announced on June 8th.
