This summer, the Southborough Library is launching a new adult book club focused on adult sci-fi/fantasy books. The twist is – no reading is required.

The new “Audio Book Club” may have a slightly misleading title. The club will encourage members who rely on audio books to participate. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them the old fashioned way – or the new-fashioned way. Selected works are also available for borrowing as books and e-books.

The group is geared towards adult readers, so the first two selections this summer are mature.

The first meeting will take place a week from tomorrow. On Thursday, June 28th, at 7:00 pm, participants in the inaugural meeting will discuss The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. To reserve/request a book, audio CD or e-audio verision, click here. To reserve an e-reader version, click here.

The monthly meetings will be led by library associate Christopher McGinn. Future meetings are set for July 26th (to discuss The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins) and August 30th*.

*Updated (7/16/18 8:09 am): The third meeting in the series will be on August 30th instead of August 23rd as originally announced.
