The Southborough Library is bringing back another popular program this summer. Next week, tweens and teens (ages 8+) can adorn themselves with Henna Tattoos:
Summer Crafternoons are back this year. To get things started right, we will be welcoming Alyssa Serafini from Wicked Good Henna, an associate of our friend Mandy Roberge, to Southborough. Alyssa will offer our popular annual program of Henna tattooes for all ages.
The Henna Crafternoon will take place on Thursday, July 19 starting at 3:00 PM. Weather-permitting, we may hold the event outside of the library adjacent to our parking lot entrance. There is no registration for this event. Recommended for ages 8 and up.
According to the Wicked Good Henna website, the henna paste patterns are “glued” to the skin with a lemon-sugar mixture and kept on for hours to stain the skin. When applied properly, the stain darkens over several days before it begins to fade away.
