Southborough Wicked Local dug up more details on the upcoming Route 9 project I posted about yesterday. According to MassDOT and Southborough Public Works, the plan will minimize commuter disruption:
“The new main layout was designed to keep the water main in the shoulder of the MassDOT right-of-way and out of the travel lanes wherever possible,” wrote Public Works Superintendent Karen Galligan, in a memo to selectmen when the project started. . .
The work will be done at night, Sunday through Friday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to the department.
