This summer, I posted about the holidays that would be popping up soon after school started.
Some readers were too busy with summer fun to notice. That means, you may not have realized that K-8 Southborough schools have a 3/12 day schedule next week.
Here are the the No School and Early Dismissal dates this year. Five of the half days aren’t on the district calendar, since they don’t apply to all K-12 district schools:
- Monday, 9/10, No public school – Rosh Hashana
- Thursday, 9/13, K-8 Early Release
- Wednesday, 9/19, No School – Yom Kippur
- Monday, 10/8, No School – Columbus Day (and Heritage Day)
- Thursday, 10/18, Finn and Woodward School Early Release
- Friday, 10/26, Finn and Woodward Early Release Day
- Monday, 11/12, No School – Veterans Day

- Monday, 4/15 – Friday, 4/19, No School – Spring Break
- Monday, 5/27, No School – Memorial Day
If all goes well the last day of school will be Friday, June 14th. But when does that ever happen? More likely, school will end sometime the following week. (Though, if there are enough cancellations, it can go as late Friday, June 28th.)
