The Trustees of Reservations is inviting the public back for its 4th annual fall festival on the eve of Heritage Day. Celebrate with them from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 7.
As always, expect farm-family fun with music, contests, kids activities, food and more.
As part of the festival, the first 100 families will get one free pumpkin. (After that, pumpkins will be for sale.)
A tent will be setup with everything you need to paint or carve out your pumpkins in time for the Pumpkin Stroll downtown that night.
This year, the entry fee is per person/family (Members: $9 pp; $24/family; Nonmembers: $15 pp; $30/family).
Once inside, free activities include:
- Live Music
- Field races all day
- Farm animals
- Arts & crafts activities
- Face painting
- Children’s hay maze
- Pie eating contest at noon
- Bicycle cider press
For an extra fee, you can hop also onto a Hayride.
Last year, TTOR shared some great photos of the fun taken by staff member Tony Davis. You can get a feel for the festivities by clicking on the thumbnails above right. To see more, click here.
This year, there will also be a “Vendor Village” arts & crafts, jewelry, and gourmet items. Plus, expect lots of food for sale:
All this activity will work up your appetite, and we’ll have so many options for you: Anzio’s brick oven pizza, Jack’s Abby Brewery, Ben & Jerry’s, Lady Laurie Cakes, BBQ, and even French crepes! Plus our farm stand will be open — check out the gorgeous produce, delicious snacks and drinks, and all kinds of yummy options.
The partially tented event is rain or shine. (The past couple of years were wet, especially 2016, but there was still plenty of fun.)
