If a little boy in uniform rings your doorbell this week, he’s not a late trick or treater. It may seem too soon to think about it, but the holidays will be on us before you know it. And Southborough Cub Scouts are launching their annual holiday fundraiser.
Pack 1 & 926 scouts have divvied up their streets for door-to-door sales of Christmas wreaths and Hanukkah candles. Sales begin today.
The Cub Scout Annual Holiday Door-to-Door Sale runs through Sunday November 18th. Southborough Cub Scouts will be pounding the pavement to sell evergreen wreaths and Hanukkah candles.
The wreaths are 18″ across and decorated with a red velvet bow. The candles are a box of 45 5.5 inch marbleized dripless Hanukkah candles. (click images to enlarge)
The price is $15 per wreath or box. Deliveries will be made December 1-2.
The holiday sale is the only pack-wide event to fund Cub Scout programming throughout the year.
There will be additional sales opportunities at special locations in Town after the 18th.
But buying direct from a Cub Scout at your door can really make his day. So, keep an ear out for that knocking.
For those of you who aren’t interested in a wreath or candles, you can always support the scouts by making a donation to their troop instead.
Just to clarify, cub scouts is now coed and it could be a boy OR girl knocking on doors for wreath/candle sales. My daughter joined this year and will be participating.
I would prefer to send a donation as I have dogs in the yard. 508-481-0607
Did not receive my wreath 6 Birchwood drive
We are working to get you a wreath!
Also didn’t receive Hanukkah candles yet, even though it began last night.
I apologize on behalf of the Southborough Cub Scouts. If you did not receive a wreath and/or candles that you purchased from a Cub Scout who came to your home, please contact me directly at laura@twilliger.com and I was make sure you receive your order. The Cub Scouts made their wreath and candle deliveries this weekend, we planned to have the candles delivered in time for the start of Hanukkah.
