Southborough firefighters responded to a blaze at the multi-million dollar home at 7 Wyndmere this morning. Details are still vague, but here is what I cobbled together from media reports and the SFD:
- The fire was put out by the SFD with help from the Westborough Fire Department
- No injuries were reported
- The fire was reported shortly after 7 am, and initially labeled a “2 alarm” fire
- Around 8 am, Westborough tweeted that it was a 3 alarm fire
- The fire began in a 2nd floor bedroom, but the cause is unknown/unavailable at this time
- Crews were still working on the scene as of a little while ago
The house involved is a 13 room Georgian home that was just listed as sold for $5.7 million about 3 weeks ago.

Updated (11/15/18 5:05 pm): I have more details to share thanks to a story in Southborough Wicked Local. The fire is believed to have started in the attic and be electrical in origin. People were living in the house but everyone Got out OK. Eight towns worked together (not just Southborough and Westborough). The house is currently uninhabitable. You can read the full story here.
