Take a walk under the full moon and celebrate afterwards with flights of beer (or hot cocoa).
Chestnut Hill Farm has scheduled another “Brew Moon Hike”. Clearly by the title, a key draw is beer sampling. But children are also allowed at the “family friendly” event, with hot chocolate offered as a substitute.
The 30-45 minute walk will take place a week from today, Friday, January 18 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The cost for members of The Trustees of Reservations is $12pp or $24 per family. The cost for non-members is $20pp or $30 per family. (Sorry – Families don’t include dogs, which are unfortunately prohibited on the working farm property.)
Here are the official event details:
Celebrate the full moon with a special evening hike guided by lunar light, followed by a beer tasting around the wood fire in the workshop. This family-friendly event will be led by a Trustees ranger and naturalist.
The hike will be 30-45 minutes long depending on the group’s ability and will follow some of Chestnut Hill Farm’s most beautiful trails. Popular craft brewery Jack’s Abby will provide flights of beer for sampling after the hike and will describe the various flavor profiles. Hot cocoa will be provided for children. Space is limited for this event. Pre-registration is required.
Please note dogs are not permitted at Chestnut Hill Farm.
I’ve been told the registration is already filling up. Click here to sign up.
