The only big news in Algonquin sports last week was from Boys and Girls Swim and Dive teams. They beat Worcester, ending their regular season with a 12-0 record. They head to state championships this week.
Algonquin Boys Hockey had a tough week. It was the first time this season that they followed a loss with another loss. Girls Hockey had an uneven week. They got some favorable coveraged from the Telegram for “trending in the right direction”. (You can read that here.) And they beat St. Peter-Marian on Wednesday. But they followed it with a loss on Saturday to Longmeadow.
Earlier in the week, the school tweeted some happy moments on the ice from when both teams helped Big Buddies put on a “Learn to Skate Session”.
