- 4th-5th Grade Book Group (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: The monthly group is led by Children’s Librarian Kim Ivers. - International Walk to School Day (8:00 am): Finn and Woodward Schools organize events encouraging kids to walk to school that morning.
- Hands On Nature (3:45 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: The science educators return. This time they’ll be bringing “Night Sounds” to the library. Children can learn about what makes the amazing sounds they hear outside of the window at night. This program is for children ages 5-9. Registration is required. - Southboro Wellness: Menopause & Female Hormones (6:30 pm) @ Southborough Wellness, 205 Turnpike Rd: Workshop on Menopause & Female Hormones. Part of the store’s free monthly series. Registration is not required. For details, see Facebook event.

- Don’t Stop the Party: Group Dancing – Prom Perfect Workshop (4:00 – 5:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Room: Join us for a fun session of group dancing where you can practice steps to the Cupid Shuffle, Cha Cha Slide, and other group dance songs you want to try! - Cookbook Club (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library: Join the Library for its monthly cookbook group. This month’s selection is Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Vol. 1 by Julia Child. Participants will each cook a different dish from the selected cook book of the month. To avoid overlap, email Marianna (at msorensen@southboroughma.com) with your selection.

- Relay for Life of Northborough Southborough (6:00 pm – 6:00 am the following morning) @ Algonquin Regional High School, Northborough: ARHS is hosting a 12 hour Relay for Life event. The overnight fundraiser is in support of the American Cancer Society. The schedule combines fun times with meaningful moments to motivate in the fight against cancer. Starting at 6:00 pm on Friday, members of teams will relay to take turns walking the track, led by cancer survivors from the community. During their non-walking hours, team members can participate in many other activities. For details, see website.

- Stamp out Hunger (prior to your normal mail delivery) @ your mailbox: Leave a bag containing non-perishable (and not-expired) foods next to your mailbox before mail pickup. Postal carriers will deliver bags to the Southborough Food Pantry. For details, see dedicated post.
- Southboro Gardeners’ Plant Sale (8:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Community House, 28 Main St: Come early for the best selection of plants shared by the Gardeners from their own gardens as well as local nursery stock. A beautiful selection of locally grown annuals, perennials, hanging planters and Mother’s Day gifts. Plus, stop by their “Ask a Master Gardener” booth. For details, see dedicated post.
- NECC 5K Walk/Run (8:30 am – 2:00 pm) @ 53 Parkerville Rd: New England Center for Children’s 10th Annual Walk/Run for Autism. Event activities are based at Neary School with the course looping around the Parkerville and Deerfoot Road area. Handicapped parking is available at Neary. Participants who don’t need the handicapped parking are encouraged to carpool and park at one of the other lots. You can register on site that morning. The race begins at 10:00 am. - Running of the Goats (9:00 am – 12:00 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm: The 4th annual trail race and fun run where runners of all abilities can race against the clock, or the goats! Timed race choices include a 3.4 mile, 5 mile, or 6.6 mile race. You can also register for a ¼ mile downhill fun run with the goats. For details, see dedicated post.
- Southborough Democratic Caucus (11:00 am) @ Southborough Historical Society Museum, 25 Common St: All Registered and pre-registered Democrats in Southborough are invited to a caucus to elect delegates and alternates to the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention. Doors will open at 10:30 am. (Pre-registered Democrats who will be 16 by May 11, 2019 will be allowed to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Youth, minorities, people with disabilities, and LGBTQ individuals who are not elected as a delegate or alternate may apply to be an add-on delegate, either by attending the caucus or applying online at www.massdems.org.) - VisionBoard Collage Workshop (1:00 – 2:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, main floor: A soulful art program for ages 12+ using mixed media (handmade papers metal, beads, inspirational text) to assemble a 10’’ x 20’’ Vision Board that is a personalized expression of each artist hopes and dreams. Sponsored by the Southborough Cultural Arts Council. Register here.
