Rosemary Petersante, 96, of Southborough MA passed away Monday, May 13th after a brief period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Nicholas Petersante who died in 2004. Born in Framingham, Rosemary was the daughter of the late Francis and Epifania (Piscitello) Gialombardi. Predeceased by her sisters, Antonina (Jimmy) Moriarty, Angie (Peter) Cacciola, Helen (George) Ciceroni, and brother Franky Gialombardi.
As a young woman, she worked for Cushing Hospital in Framingham, where she met her husband, and would later work as an Avon lady in the Framingham area for 13 years. Rosemary was an accomplished watercolor artist and loved playing the piano. Happy and outgoing, she made friends wherever she went.
She is survived by three children; Michael Petersante of W. Roxbury; David Petersante and his partner David Moccia of Billerica, Carol Kulkin and her husband Matthew of Florida (formerly Ashland); three grandchildren; Justin and Mariah Kulkin, Danyelle DeLucia, 2 great grandchildren Seryn and Silas DeLucia; sister-in-law, Evelyn Gialombardi, cousin, Stella Simione, and her best friend Nora“sis” and Jerry Goolkasian and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday May 18th at 11:00am in St. Tarcisius Parish, 563 Waverly St. Framingham, MA with burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery in Ashland. Calling hours will be held Saturday from 8:30-10:30am at the Matarese Funeral Home, 325 Main St. Ashland MA.
