- R.A.D. Systems defense class (6:00 – 9:00 pm) @ Recreation Building, 21 Highland Street: The first in a 4-part series of free classes the Southborough Police Department is offering for women. It is open to female residents ages 13+. The “R.A.D. Systems” is designed to teach “Rape Agression Defense”. For details, see dedicated post.
- Poetry Workshop (6:30 – 8:30 pm) @ Southborough Library, Main Level: At the semi-monthly sessions, Everyone is asked to bring in five copies of their original poetry for supportive feedback. If you don’t have a poem, come and share your insights. The group meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month.
- An Evening of Jazz (7:00 – 9:30 pm) @ Trottier Middle School auditorium: Trottier Middle School’s award winning Big Band will perform at their annual June concert “An Evening of Jazz”. They wil perform with special guest, Brian Thomas. Entry is free, but they will be collecting donations and selling baked good to support the band. For details, see dedicated post.

- NSPAC meeting and board election (10:00 am – 11:30 am) @ Southborough Library: The Northborough Southborough Special Education Parent Advisory Council (NSPAC) will hold its last meeting of the school year, including the Annual Board Officer Election for 2019-2020. For details, see dedicated post.
- St Matthew’s Mission’s Bertucci’s Fundraiser (11:30 am – 10:00 pm) @ Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant, 160 Turnpike Rd, Westborough: Fundraiser for Saint Matthew’s Church is raising funds for its 15th Annual Mission Trip. If you show the flyer, 25% of the bill will be donated to the church’s mission. (This is only for the Westborough location.) For details and the flyer, see dedicated post.
- Senior Matinee – Instant Family (1:00 – 3:00 pm) @ Southborough Senior Center: Free movie screening for seniors of the PG-13 dramedy starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne. Please sign up at the front desk or call (508) 229-4453. Snacks will be provided. (For more info on the movie, click here.)
- Food Truck Festival (3:30 – 7:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Rte 85 and Rte 30): The last night in the series organized by the Southborough Rotary Club this spring. They are bringing in five food trucks (four selling dinner and one selling ice cream). For details, see dedicated post.
- Southborough Summer Concert Series (5:30 – 7:30 pm) @ St. Mark’s meadow (corner of Rte 85 and Rte 30): The first of this summer’s free family friendly concert series is being combined with the Food Truck Festival. This concert’s headliners are the Midtown Horns. For details, see dedicated post.
- Supper Story Time (5:45 – 6:15 pm) @ Southborough Library: Bring dinner and a blanket and join us for a special early evening storytime outside on the lawn. Open to all ages. No registration is required.
- Ballroom Dancing (7:00 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, main level: Free lessons run by instructor Carole Ann Baer – Wednesdays June 5th – 26th. Learn waltz-style ballroom dancing. . . - Bay Circuit Trail (9:30 am – 12:00 pm) @ : Event for active seniors organized by the Southborough Senior Center’s Trailblazers group. Meet at the Senior Center at 9:30am Hike about 2 miles on the Bay Circuit Trail, the next section. We will carpool to starting point. Carl Guyer will lead. - Postponed to June 20th- Art on the Trails – Opening Reception (5:30 – 7:30 pm) @ Beals Preserve: The opening reception for Art on the Trails at Southborough Open Land Foundation’s Beal Preserve. Walk and hear participating artists talk about their works in the juried exhibit. For more details, see dedicated post.
- Cookbook Club (6:30 – 8:00 pm) @ Southborough Library: Join the Library for its monthly cookbook group. This month’s selection is Ottolenghi. Participants each bring a different dish from the book to share. To avoid overlap, email Marianna (at msorensen@southboroughma.com) with your selection.
- BBC Discussion Series (7:00 pm) @ Southborough Library, Eaton Meeting Room: The Southborough Library is organizing a bi-weekly discussion series that revolves around BBC television series. The historical backdrop of the series will be part of the lively discussions of how these productions have provided a window into the lives of the ‘commoner’ to the crowned heads of each era. - Trottier’s 8th Grade Banquet (7:00 – 10:00 pm) @ Trottier Middle School
- Girl Scout Campfire Sing-a-long (7:00 – 8:30 pm) @ Chestnut Hill Farm Farmstand, 5 Chestnut Hill Rd: Southborough Girl Scouts and their families are invited to an end-of-year celebration with songs, skits and s’mores. There is an admission fee of $10 per scout, but siblings and adults can tag along for free. Pre-registration is requested. For details, see dedicated post.
