If looking at the photos I shared yesterday from Chestnut Hill Farm made you wish you’d been part of the fun on the farm this summer, you’re in luck. There’s plenty of more upcoming opportunities. For instance, tonight they are holding Sunset Yoga and there’s another Book Bugs event on Tuesday.
The focus of this post is one of their guaranteed hits this summer – the return of the Farm-to-Table Dinners.
The first of five dinners this season is a week from Friday. Registration is required three days in advance, but based on past dinners’ selling out, that’s too long to wait to sign up. So, act quickly.
This event isn’t free, but proceeds from The Trustees of Reservations events help fund the non-profit farm and community events.
The highlight of the event is the farm-to-table menu. The dinner will include produce straight from the Southborough fields and other fresh, farm ingredients:
Enjoy a lovely al fresco dinner at Chestnut Hill Farm! Our unique farm-to-table experience features a menu full of fresh vegetables, fruits, pasture-raised meats, and more — all prepared by our catering partners who use only the best ingredients from our own and other local farms.
Relax under our tent with your family and friends and listen to live music as you dine and watch the sun set. Play lawn games or stroll around the farm with a glass of wine or beer. Encourage your children to run and play as you relax and take in the beautiful scenery!
Ticket price includes light appetizers, entrée, multiple side dishes, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages, lawn games, live music, and of course, views of beautiful Chestnut Hill Farm. Craft beer and wine will be available for purchase. Please do not bring your own beverages.
Advance reservations are required and registration closes three days before each dinner. We encourage you to register soon — all our dinners sold out and had waitlists last summer!
You are welcome to arrive beginning at 5:30pm, when the bar opens. Food will begin being served at 6pm. Keeping with farm tradition, seating is at communal tables. Tables can be reserved for parties of 6 or more by emailing chestnuthillfarm@thetrustees.org after your reservation is made.
