It’s time to mark your calendars for Southborough’s summer end bash. For years the Town has held “Southborough Summer Nights” on the weekend before the start of the public school year. That puts this summer’s festivities on Saturday, August 24th. (Or the next day if the weather doesn’t cooperate.)
As usual, the festival kicks off at 5:00 pm and ends with the big annual fireworks display after sunset.
I’ll be posting more about it as we get closer. For now, here’s a reminder of the kinds of fun you can generally find at the family friendly event.
For many, a big draw is the multitude of food trucks and exhibitor giveaways.
You can also enjoy a live concert with returning favorites Better Her Than Me.
But the biggest draw is all the free activities for kids.
I don’t have this year’s details yet, but traditionally, the free fun includes:
- Pony rides
- Face Painting (by professionals)
- Rock Climbing Wall
- Inflatable Moon Bounces and obstacle courses
- Video Arcade trailer
- Photo Booth
- Ball tosses and shootouts
- Balloon Artist
If you haven’t been, my Facebook album from two summers ago gives you a taste of what you’ve been missing.
