A liquor store on Route 9 in Southborough was robbed on July 29th. Police are asking for the public to contact them if they have relevant information.
Today’s press release announced:
On, 7/29/2019, at 8:23 A.M., Southborough Officers were called to Sperry’s Liquors, located at 205 Turnpike Road, to investigate a Breaking and Entering that occurred overnight. Surveillance footage showed two masked individuals in the store, at approximately 4:20 A.M., crawling with dark bags in an effort to avoid security monitors. A large amount of cigarettes and liquor were taken in the break. Southborough Detectives are working with numerous other agencies including Millbury and Northborough who have had recent similar incidents.
Anyone with further information is asked to call Detective Keith Nichols or Lieutenant Ryan Newell at the Southborough Police Department (774) 249-0355 or (508) 485-2121

Police also contributed the video at the top of the post. (If you are having trouble viewing it on the bloc, you can view it on YouTube here.)
Updated (8/7/19 1:40 pm): In my zeal to share the SPD’s notice, I missed the date (even though I shared it)! The overnight crime referred to the night of July 28th. Chief Paulhus also pointed out that police use robbery to refer to a person on person crime. Burglary is a more appropriate term for this crime.
So, why the delayed press release. The SPD first worked with other police departments before deciding to make the video public.
